Gum Disease Upland
Periodontal disease (also referred to as gum disease) is an inflammatory condition that affects a sizeable percentage of patients in the U.S. Without timely treatment, it can cause tooth loss. Gum disease has also been linked to other serious health problems, which include heart disease, stroke, cancer, premature birth or low birth weight, and rheumatoid arthritis. The risks associated with gum disease can be treated and managed with regular cleanings and check-ups.
Gum disease can be more treatable and manageable when it is detected early. We are dedicated to treating and preventing gum disease in our Upland patients.
Our office offers a regular check-up, where your gum tissue will be measured around each of your teeth to find any deterioration. Our digital x-rays can reveal signs of disease. If you are diagnosed with periodontal or gum disease, we recommend scheduling a consultation at our office.
During the consultation, we will discuss your gum disease treatment plan and preparation procedures.
